Soft tissue tumour surgery

Soft tissue tumours and conditions can be benign or, more seldom, malignant.

Benign soft tissue tumours are lumps and bumps that occur in subcutaneous tissue or intramuscular areas. Soft tissue tumours include lipomas, atheromas, etc. They can be painful and distressing. These tumours can develop in any part of the body and can normally be easily removed with plastic surgery.

Soft tissue sarcomas are a group of cancers that can affect muscles, ligaments, joints and the nervous system. Complex surgery is required to remove these tumours.
